The Openwork Foundation
At Openwork, we recognise the importance of lending our strength and influence to good causes. That’s why the Openwork Foundation was set up in 2005 (the same time Openwork was launched) and is funded and supported by our staff and advisers. During this time the Foundation has raised more than £2.5m and has supported over 260 projects.
Our current focus is Cares 4 Kids which supports disadvantaged children and young people between 0 and 18 years of age in the UK and overseas who face social, physical or mental challenges. We provide grants to charities to deliver change that lasts, providing long-term solutions and support for these children.
Our current charity partners are The Philippine Community Fund, which works in the most deprived areas of the Philippines, and Children’s Hospices UK, which currently represents over 40 children’s hospices across the UK. We also fund projects for local charities.
The Openwork Foundation comes under the umbrella of the Zurich Community Trust (Registered Charity Number 266983).
The Openwork Foundation School
In December 2010 we attended the grand opening of the Openwork Foundation School in Manilla, Philippines. This three-year project was made possible by the fundraising efforts of our staff and advisers.
Three months later, this achievement earned national recognition when we were shortlisted for a Third Sector Business Charity Award alongside Barclays, E.ON AG, Lloyds Banking Group and Reckitt Benckiser.
